"Quand je vous aimerai? Ma foi, je ne sais pas..."
Fanart from the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet~ I really love all the songs, but one of my favorites is "Habanera" (yea cliche) <3

Basically, I just wanted to practise more with Photoshop so I can finish my collaborations and have them look half-decent for once. I like... the coloring on the skin. Yes. I needed some reference for the arms/hand poses and shading too. I can't find the pic I used but just know I needed help. Crits are VERY welcome- I can't get better without them!
I think I remember what that story was about... But I was never able to see the actual Opera. >:
This is really cool! You should try to draw in this sort of style more often~ I particularly like her stomach! You outlined that very well, and likewise for shading~ Very pretty overall! Though the earrings seem a little strange. I like it a lot! Awesome job~ What program do you normally use?

Thank you, I'm trying to develop my style so it's not quite anime-like anymore. I drew it on tegaki and copied it into photoshop Much reference for shading was needed xD hehe And yes the earing were rushed, in retrospect I should have just left them, but I'm dumb and didn't Thank you~ For a long time I was using Pixia and then I had the SAI demo for a month

This looks really good, and I particularily like the "smokey" sort of colouring and the softer lineart.
If there's one piece of advice I can give, it would be to make the character in your pictures a little sharper, because this girl seems to be fading out against the background (since her colouring is so soft, too)
But overall, I think it's a great pic. It is baws.

I'm a "bit" (haha XD) late but I'm sure I can still help out at least a little! Anyway, it looks like this picture is off to a good start. :> I really like the pose you drew her in, and I like how you drew her stomach especially. The arms are nice, though her left forearm looks a tad too skinny. The skin colouring is done well, though the tones could be darkened or blended more, but that could just be a style thing. :3 Maybe we'll see a finished drawing one day?
